Corpse Escape ‘Second Death’ As Vehicle Conveying It For Funeral Catches Fire On Onitsha Bridge

A corpse was temporarily dumped along the River Niger head bridge in Onitsha, Anambra state, after afire accident yesterday.

It was gathered that a vehicle transporting the corpse from Asaba, Delta state capital to Anambra, went up in flames on the head bride in Onitsha.

The corpse was rescued by the car occupants and kept along the bridge as the vehicle was completely burnt.

Road safety officials helped in clearing the obstruction off the highway and controlled the traffic.

It was gathered that another vehicle was brought to continue with the transportation of the corpse and other travelers.
