Why the Igbos are more smarter than any other tribe in Nigeria – Obasanjo

Read Time1 Minute, 51 Seconds

Why Igbos are ahead of other tribes in Nigeria, Obasanjo revealed.
Former President of Nigeria, Chief Obasanjo has revealed reasons why Igbos are ahead of other tribes in Nigeria. It will be a task impossible to actualize for the Igbos, to follow the Yoruba’s Ideology. The Igbos are more republican by nature, which is why it is very difficult for you to tame such a tribe.

From the extensive research I did on the three major tribes, I find out that the Igbos are the most westernized, most enterprising, most astute, most dynamic, most intelligent (smart), and the most technically gifted tribe found among the black race. The Hausa/Fulani and the Yorubas have limitations. But an Igbo man doesn’t see any limitations.

An average Igbo man is highly competitive, unlike the Yoruba and the Hausa/Fulani.

While the Yoruba and the Hausa/Fulani had kingdoms which enabled the British to infiltrate their territories easily, the Igbos on the other hand, had what could be called “ Chiefdoms” (autonomous Communities). These structures made it very difficult to tame the Igbos.

It took the British just 9 months to tame the North and South West but almost 30 years to be able to tame the Igbos. The British had to send a team of anthropologists to the South to understudy the Igbo because, they (the British) acknowledged they hadn’t been up against a black race with such depth and intelligence coupled with the gut to confront the whites and learn from them so, so fast.

While a Tinubu, can have unrestricted influence over the Yoruba tribe, something you can only find mostly among blacks and some poor nations on earth today, an Igbo man can never be tamed by the ideology of one man unchecked, no matter how highly placed he or she is. That’s why the Igbos are very successful no matter where they find themselves. They don’t believe in putting limitations on their path. You can only find such similarities among the Europeans, the Americans, and developed Asian tiger nations.

A Hausa/Fulani man sees Kano as his world. A Yoruba man sees Lagos as his world. An Igbo man sees the world as his Village.

Police Arrest Evans Arms Supplier After Two Years Manhunt

A 46-year-old notorious arms dealer, Godwin Chinyere, who was alleged to have sold most of the firearms, ammunition and rocket launchers used by billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Owuamadike, A.k.A Evans has been arrested by operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT).

Evans who was arrested on June 2017 in his mansion at the highbrow area of Magodo, Lagos State, by the IRT, led by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari and currently standing trial at the Lagos State High Courts of Igbosere and Ikeja, was said to have mentioned Chinyere at the time of his arrest, as his major arms supplier.

Police sources disclosed that Evans, confessed during his arrest that some of the rocket launchers and Ak-47 rifles, used by members of his gang in blowing up bank security doors and Bullion vans, during robbery and kidnapping operationsy, were all supplied to him by Chinyere, who he said had contacts with arms dealers in Chad and the Niger Republic.

The source explained that operatives of the IRT launched a manhunt on Chinyere at the time they received the information from Evans, but stated that Chinyere, became elusive and went into hiding as he was aware that Evans has been arrested and would give out information as he was singing like a bird.

A source added that Chinyere came out of hiding recently when he felt that the Evans case has gone to court and the IRT operatives hunting for him may have channelled their energy on other cases of national importance but was unaware that the hunt for him was still on. He was trailed to Asaba Delta State, where he was hiding and was apprehended
He confessed selling five Ak-47 rifles to Evans when he was interviewed and he said he began selling and making firearms in the year 1990 after he dropped out of primary school and his parents couldn’t afford his school fees.

Chinyere told newsmen that he is a native of Obingwa area of Abia State and he learned how to make locally made guns from his boss, one late Chinaka Nnawakwo, who he said have been killed by security operatives for gun-running.

“I learned how to make locally made guns from a village known as Abala and I was one chinaka Nnawakwo and that thought me the job. I spent three years learning the job before I started making my own. I have several customers who were gun runners coming to buy guns from me in large quantities. I usually sell locally made double barrel guns for the sum of N10,000 and the single barrel was sold for N6,000, while the locally short guns were sold for N10,000.

One of customers, Samuel Nwakpa, who was coming from the Kaduna State to buy guns from me, was the person who linked me to big arms dealers in Chad and Niger republic. They were the people supplied me the five Ak-47 rifles I sold to Evans which he used for his bank robbery and kidnapping activities. I met Evans when he came to my village to treat his bullet wound and his native doctor Eyinaya Hearth, linked him to me.

“I knew he was using it for armed robbery and for kidnapping. Evans paid me the sum of N1.7million for the five Ak-47 rifles after they were supplied to me in Chad. The rifles were concealed in bags of fish and I took my commissions and gave the rest of the money to Nwapka, who also supplied the rocket launchers to Evans.

“Before Evans was arrested, I have stopped doing the business and I and turned a new leaf, but I fled and went into hiding when he was arrested because I knew he was going to mention my name to the police and I don’t even know that the police still looking for me when I came out of hiding and I was arrested. I warned Evans to stop kidnapping when I turned a new leaf but he wouldn’t listen to me.” He lamented.

Housewife Arrested For Scalding Maid With Hot Water For Sleeping On Her Couch

Christiana Eze, a 31-year-old woman, has been arrested by the International Federation Of Women Lawyers, FIDA, for pouring hot water on her 13-year-old house maid, Beauty, for allegedly sleeping on her couch in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The incident happened on the 3rd of July, 2018. It was gathered that Beauty normally sleeps on the floor, but slept on the couch that fateful day because of cold, promoting the reaction from Christiana. The following morning, she let the girl go to school in that condition and her teacher noticed and filed a report against the suspect.

Beauty, from Edo State, accused Christiana of pouring hot water on her and using belt to flog her on the same spot she poured the hot water on, till her skin peeled off.

It was gathered that for the last two years of the girl has stayed with Christiana, she knew nothing but torment and torture, a situation the neighbors attested to. The security man also revealed that he gives Beauty food sometimes, because she eats once a day.

Investigation further revealed that the girl doesn’t have a room in the house and her luggage is kept under the staircase, from where she dresses up.

My husband refused to have sex with me simply because I refused having sex before marriage

Read Time1 Minute, 24 Seconds

I dated my man for three years before we got married and denied him sex all through the period of courtship because I am a practicing Christian, he was not cool with it

He kept on complaining and demanding for sex every now and then but I took my stand and the he said I will pay for it…

We are married now, he only had sex with me on our wedding night, saying he wanted to confirm if I am a virgin or not, it’s been four months now and hard to believe but after the first time he refused to have sex with me, saying that he wants me to feel what he felt when I deprived him of sex before our marriage.

He said that he will pay me back for the 3years. Funny enough, he’ll masturbate right in front of me. I have tried all I could to get him to sleep with me.

I have tried seduction and all sorts of methods but he is not falling for anything and I am beginning to loose my cool. I dont want to take our issues to extended family yet, please people.

He can’t keep doing this for 3 years right? I mean if not for anything we need to have kids right? Who should I consult first? My family? His? A counselor?

What other method is allowed for me to use as his wife to get him sleep with me? This is serious please. Its been four months, I have no complains, we are cool on every other thing and he is doing every other responsibility of his except for this sex.

What do you think?

Court sack Regina Daniel’s husband as senator elect

Read Time1 Minute, 28 Seconds

JUST IN: Court of Appeal sacks Ned Nwoko as PDP senator-elect

The Court of Appeal, Abuja Division, has nullified the emergence of Ned Nwoko as the senator representing Delta North Senatorial District.

The court in a decision on Thursday said the case instituted at the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court which resulted in the recognition of Mr Nwoko as the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission was wrongly filed.

The appellate court ruled that the matter ought to have been brought at the lower court before the expiration of 14 days from the time of the incidence that birthed the suit.

It further ruled that the failure of the applicant at the lower court to file the case before the expiration of 14 days meant that the case had become statute barred and the lower court lacked jurisdiction to entertain the matter in the first place. “As at the time the matter was instituted at the Federal High Court, the case was statute barred. We set aside the decision of the Federal High Court and strike out the case,” the court ruled.

INEC had withdrawn the certificate of return it issued to Mr Nwoko’s contender Peter Nwaoboshi, following the FHC decision.

With the appeal court decision, Mr Nwaoboshi will now be recognised as the senator-elect for the district.

Messrs Nwoko and Nwaoboshi are both of the PDP and had contested for the ticket of the party in the primaries. The PDP later won the senatorial election in the district with Mr Nwaoboshi as its candidate.

After the initial high court ruling, INEC withdrew the certificate issued to Mr Nwaoboshi and presented same to Mr Nwoko; a decision that would now be reversed based on the appeal court ruling.

Details later…

San Francisco, CA | A 28-year-old man is lying in critical condition after he contracted necrotizing fasciitis, a rare form of flesh-eating bacteria.

Adam Rader, 28, was transported to UCSF Medical Center after suffering from severe pain in his mouth and throat, as well as fever, and vomiting.

Rader was rapidly diagnosed by the medical staff after his boyfriend told doctors his mouth had been in contact with diarrhea.

“He knew I had gastroenteritis but I guess he was still really intoxicated from the GHB and the ecstasy” his boyfriend, Benjamin Segura, told reporters.

Rader apparently did not heed his boyfriend’s warnings and attempted oral sex on his partner’s anal region, although he was apparently already suffering from the flu.

“He had his tongue up my anus and I just couldn’t keep it in anymore, it started spraying all over his face and into his mouth,” Segura explained in tears.

Dr. Samantha Graham at San Francisco's UCSF Medical Center believes Rader, 28, contracted necrotizing fasciitis after ingesting diarrhea into his mouth and digestive system while partaking in anilingus with his partner.

Highly contagious

Dr. Samantha Graham at San Francisco’s UCSF Medical Center warns that anal–oral contact and anal–oral sex with a partner showing symptoms of the flu can be very risky.

“Diarrheal infections are highly contagious and people should avoid exposing the mouth and tongue to the rectal area in the presence of diarrhea,” he told local reporters.

Dr. Graham also warned about the dangers of ingesting one’s own fecal matter or that of a partner during sexual activities, which could lead to severe bacterial infection.

In 2011, a student at the University of Georgia had also succumbed to flesh-eating disease several days after ingesting his own diarrhea as part of a fraternity initiation.

Houston police have arrested a man believed to be behind the disappearance of no less than 31 persons this past decade.

Ivan Fedorovitch Yanukovych, 56, could be linked to a number of mysterious disappearances in the area believe officials.

Yanukovych was interrogated by police after neighbors complained about him using a chainsaw late at night and reported the man being “covered in blood.”

When police arrived on the scene, Yanukovych was found butchering a dead body in his garage and preparing what police officers described as “large quantities of ground meat” mixed in with an “aromatic blend of spices.”

“The suspect admitted to preying on unsuspecting delivery men from local restaurants, several postmen and even a number of Jehovah witnesses,” Assistant Chief Jeff Buchanan told reporters.

Executive Assistant Chief Buchanan from the Houston Police Department says officials seized over 700 pounds of “unidentified meat” from four freezers and which is presumed to be of human origin.

“I never suspected he was a mass murderer. He would often invite all the neighbors to watch football at his house and host large barbecues for everybody and was super friendly,” one neighbor told reporters.

Yanukovych, 56, who lives with his mother, Anastasia Z. Yanukovych, 93, and who rents the house basement to a local student, seemed to blend into the community and never arouse suspicion from neighbors.

“He was in charge of organizing our yearly spaghetti dinner fundraiser for the past five years and was a key player in the community. I am in utter disbelief” one local YMCA administrative told reporters.

When interrogated by authorities, Yanukovych apparently showed some remorse about killing the delivery men and postmen who were “just doing their job” but said the Jehovah witnesses “really annoyed him” and wished he had “taken more out.”

Tom Duvall, a local Jehovah witness organization spokesman, said that he is relieved that “members of our local chapter can now feel safe” and that “these courageous souls have not ended in this vile man’s belly, but in God’s belly.”

If convicted of his crimes, Ivan Fedorovitch Yanukovych faces a maximum prison sentence of 2,675 years in jail, believe experts.

Marry many wives or face jail: Swaziland govt denies rumour A statement by the King called for all men in the country to marry at least five wives, assuring the men that government would pay for the marriage ceremonies and buy houses for them.

Here’s the deal, marry at least five wives and you’re assured that the government will pay for the marriage ceremonies and buy houses for them.” King Mswati warned that any man or woman who opposes the decision “will face a life sentence”.

The order, according to IHarare, is to ensure every woman gets a husband as it is believed that men taking more wives will help women get husbands.

The monarch noted that there are more women than men in Swaziland which he noted was a very serious problem for a country known to be full of virgins.

Reports say that the decision also came following the increasing number of virgins and scarcity of men in the country. King Mswati himself has 15 wives and 25 children, while his father and predecessor had more than 70 wives and over 150 children.

Danny Baker got fired by BBC for tweeting royal baby as chimpanzee in a picture

Read Time7 Minutes, 54 Seconds

Broadcaster Danny Baker has been fired by the BBC after he tweeted a joke about the Duke and Duchess Of Sussex’s son using a picture of a chimpanzee.

Harry and Meghan revealed on Wednesday that their new arrival was named Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Radio DJ Baker made a joke about the birth, tweeting a black and white photo showing a well-dressed man and woman holding hands with a suited chimpanzee.

Baker captioned it: “Royal baby leaves hospital”. Following a backlash and allegations of racism given the Duchess of Sussex is mixed race, he deleted the post and apologised.

On Thursday morning, he posted another message on social media, saying he had been “fired” by the BBC, later saying he had made a “grotesque mistake”.

A BBC spokesman said: “This was a serious error of judgment and goes against the values we as a station aim to embody. Danny’s a brilliant broadcaster but will no longer be presenting a weekly show with us.”

Speaking outside his Blackheath home, he admitted his relationship with the BBC has always been tense, and said he did not know the royal baby was Meghan and Harry’s.

When a follower pointed out to him that baby Archie’s mother is mixed race, Baker said he immediately took the tweet down.

Baker later hit back at his former employers, and tweeted: “The call to fire me from BBC 5Live was a masterclass of pompous faux-gravity. Took a tone that said I actually meant that ridiculous tweet and the BBC must uphold blah blah blah.

“Literally threw me under the bus. Could hear the suits knees knocking.”

Baker added: “For the record – it was red sauce. Always,” in reference to the regular feature Sausage Sandwich Game on his Saturday morning Radio 5 Live show.

The segment takes a celebrity and gets two guests to guess which condiment the famous person would ask for if handed a sausage sandwich – brown sauce, red sauce or no sauce at all.

Defending his actions on LBC, he accused the BBC of being “weasly”, adding that he made an “innocent mistake”.

Speaking to his friend James O’Brien, the presenter said: “I used to do it on my show a lot, monkeys dressed as famous people with fairground music.”

Danny Baker's tweet, which he later deleted

He added: “The BBC suddenly decides it’s going to throw me under the bus, and that’s the thing that stings. I mean, there’s a tremendously weasly thing to do again.” He accused them of “giving credence” to the idea he was “revealed as a racist after all these years”.

Baker said he gave the BBC staff member who fired him short shrift: “I was given a lecture – which I must say I terminated after about 30 seconds with a couple of words I can leave you to fill in.”

He said there were “other broadcasters they wouldn’t have done that to” and that the broadcaster was “siding with the vampires who didn’t like me anyway”.

Many pointed out that Lord Sugar was not sacked from his BBC job after making a similarly ill-advised Twitter post comparing the Senegal football team to beach hawkers in Spain.

After revealing he had been sacked, he updated his followers to say there were journalists knocking on his door. He further tried to explain himself and the choice of photograph, saying: “Would have used same stupid pic for any other Royal birth or Boris Johnson kid or even one of my own. It’s a funny image. (Though not of course in that context.)

“Enormous mistake, for sure. Grotesque. Anyway, here’s to ya Archie, Sorry mate.”

He had earlier said: “Sorry my gag pic of the little fella in the posh outfit has whipped some up. Never occurred to me because, well, mind not diseased.

“Soon as those good enough to point out it’s possible connotations got in touch, down it came. And that’s it.”

The 61-year-old, who presents a weekly show on BBC Radio 5 Live, had apologised on Wednesday evening, saying the joke was intended to poke fun at the Royal family.

He said: “Once again. Sincere apologies for the stupid unthinking gag pic earlier. Was supposed to be joke about Royals vs circus animals in posh clothes but interpreted as about monkeys & race, so rightly deleted.

“Royal watching not my forte. Also, guessing it was my turn in the barrel.”

Later on Thursday afternoon, he tweeted the theme tune to Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Lifelong Millwall supporter Baker appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here in 2016. It is not the first time he has been in hot water with the BBC.

In 2012, he delivered an extraordinary on-air rant criticising BBC bosses for dropping his afternoon show and asking him to stay quiet about it.

He has also been sacked by 5 Live before. In 1997, he was fired for encouraging listeners to heckle a referee.

Baker took several months out of radio after announcing in November 2010 he had cancer. He started chemotherapy and radiotherapy the following January and was given the all clear in June 2011 and returned to radio shortly afterwards.

Controversial departures from the BBC

Richard Bacon

Blue Peter presenter Richard Bacon was sacked in 1998 after he admitted taking cocaine.

Addressing his departure from the popular children’s show, the then head of BBC children’s programmes Lorraine Heggessey said: “It is sad that such a talented presenter as Richard Bacon has not only let himself and his colleagues down but, most important of all, he has let down the millions of children who watch Blue Peter.”

Richard Bacon

Bacon, who was 22 at the time, said: “I have been stupid and regret making a silly mistake experimenting with drugs.

“But I have learned the lesson the hard way and I hope it serves as a lesson to lots of other young people. I would also like to apologise to all loyal Blue Peter viewers.”

Jonathan Ross

The TV and radio host eventually left the BBC under a cloud after the fallout of his and Russell Brand’s lewd messages to Fawlty Towers star Andrew Sachs.

A pre-recorded edition of The Russell Brand Show aired on Radio 2 in October 2008

Sachs was scheduled to be interviewed over the phone on the show. Shortly before he was called, Brand told listeners: “In a minute we’re going to be talking to Andrew Sachs, Manuel actor. The elephant in the room is, what Andrew doesn’t know is, I’ve slept with his granddaughter.”

When Brand and fellow Radio 2 DJ Jonathan Ross, who was co-hosting, tried to call Sachs during the pre-record, he does not pick up.

Ross and Brand left Sachs four voice messages on the then 78-year-old’s home phone, during which Brand joked about the fact that both he and Sachs had appeared on The Bill.

Ross is recorded shouting: “He f—– your daughter”, much to the ribald laughter of everyone in the studio. This sparked a run of messages that were, nominally, Brand and Ross trying to apologise for the outburst, but swiftly became increasingly offensive.

Later in the show, Brand joked about Sachs committing suicide in the wake of the revelations, saying: “The main news again. Manuel Andrew Sachs hung himself today . . .’”

Despite the fact the show was pre-recorded, producers and executives at the BBC greenlit it to be aired on the radio, and didn’t cut the recording of the voice messages left on Sachs’s phone.

The Corporation later said that “a senior editorial figure signed off the programme, including its strong language, before it was broadcast”.

Lesley Douglas, Controller of Radio 2, resigned within two weeks and Ross was suspended without pay from all BBC shows for three months.

Ross later left the BBC in January 2010, saying: “I think it’s not a bad time for me to move on. It’s possibly not a bad time for them either”.

Jeremy Clarkson

On March 25, 2015,  Jeremy Clarkson was told his BBC career was over and that Top Gear would continue without.

The presenter had failed to maintain “standards of decency and respect” at work, Lord Hall said.

Clarkson was found guilty of “a physical altercation accompanied by sustained and prolonged verbal abuse of an extreme nature” that left his victim, Oisin Tymon, in need of hospital treatment at an A&E department.

Announcing the news, previously reported in the Telegraph, Lord Hall said: “It is with great regret that I have told Jeremy Clarkson today that the BBC will not be renewing his contract. It is not a decision I have taken lightly.

“I know how popular the programme is and I also know that this decision will divide opinion.”

It was the straw that broke the camel’s back for the broadcaster, having sparred with the controversial presenter for a number of years.

You block the door way, then dare him to beat you up and see what will happen.
A Lot of women have done this and end up regretting. As a godly woman it’s wrong.

You will be making a major mistake if you dare your husband to sleep with another woman. You may live to regret it.

“I am married i can relax, after all who is looking at me.?”
He married you Slim, sexy and trendy. Next thing you become obsessed, dirty and shabbily dressed.
It is the mistake of most careless married women.

You are a career woman; You are an overly religious woman… Hmmm! You feel sex in marriage is secondary, you deny your husband your body regularly, so he is sexually starved and intimacy famished. His Secretary, colleagues and girls in church are seducing and begging him to come to them but you have padlocked your JERUSALEM and expect him not to lust after others. His mind will drift from you towards them.

“My dear friend, please be my eye as I travel for this one week, help cater for my husband and my little kids”. By the time you are back, your dear friend has so really helped you by sleeping with your husband and expecting a new baby as continuation from where you stopped.
If at all she has not eloped with your man, leaving your children all alone.
It is very stupid to commit your husband into the hands of your beautiful and very active friend.

Your maid is the one that cooks, cleans the house, cares for the children and your husband. You suddenly become a LAZY BONE since the arrival of the maid.
All you do is shout and place orders. Not bad! But if your husband feels more love and care from the maid, sister that maid won’t struggle to snatch your husband. You are the one graciously giving him to her and those that need him.

A wife won’t do well if she fails to commit her family into the hands of God regularly because the Bible says “by strength shall no man prevail”.
Don’t make such mistakes of thinking you are in charge of your husband and marriage and you can handle things.
NOTE: “Wives are God’s human partner to help MATURE and MAXIMIZE their HUSBANDS”
This is only achieved and possible on a daily bases on your knees!
May you never labour in vain and another reaps where you have sown.

When you tell your friends about your sex life and how your husband rocks you, you are indirectly telling them to go have a feel of him. They can size you up and know whether your husband is hot or not, whether he is sexually fulfilled or not.
They may even know your Husband’s “turn on” and use it against him then grab your husband.
Most women have carelessly lost their husbands as they boast to their friends “my husband is too sexually demanding, he is an expert when it comes to sex, he is a horse, he almost kills me in bed, he has a horse size” etc… Your friends will pick information like this and cover things up where you have been failing.

It looks beautiful to report your husband to his Mum, but the end result will hurt you. Most mothers will support their sons any day; children are always right before their Mothers. Seek counsel in the right quarters, never report your husband to his Mum unless his mum is so god fearing, honest and impartial.

Many wives abandon their husbands, denying them of love, care and attention as soon as babies begin to arrive they transfer all affection to their kids.
To sleep in bed, they put the Baby in between themselves making the man feel lost and the bond divided. No warm hugs, caress etc.

Sex is supposed to bind you both together, it is supposed to create intimacy and love but in many homes it is the bone of contention.
Some women do turn sex to a tool of manipulation;
Some use it for trade by barter.
*Some wives will suddenly become commanders at home when their husbands touch them for sex, ordering the man around, “go and off the Fan” “go and lock the gate” “go and check whether our children are sleeping” “How about that money I asked you to give me?” Etc…*
This is just too bad.

Some wives sleep like log of wood in bed while some even wear Jean, knickers to bed.
Nothing sexy
Nothing erotic
Nothing romantic
Nothing Inviting!
If you continue like this you will hurt your marriage deeply and you may destroy your future also. He will start lusting and chasing sexy daughters of Jezebel out there who may fetish him out of home to themselves

A godly wife builds her home on her knees, the stupid ones plucks it down.
I know you will be like…. Why can’t he have self control and stay faithful?

Forget it dear.

We are all humans and things push us to do things we never planned, but his grace is sufficient for us!

Be wise!!!
….Building godly relationship

He killed his wife because she planned to remarry after his death

Read Time1 Minute, 5 Seconds

A 30-year-old man, Uwani Danjuma, has killed his wife for planning to remarry after his death.

The incident occurred at Uddu village in Rijau Local Government Area of Niger State.

Danjuma said his wife had told him when he was ill that if he died, she would remarry.

Angered by those words, he said he attacked and killed his wife with a cutlass when he became well.

Confessing to the crime, the suspect said his wife was sleeping when he killed her, adding that he deliberately killed her because of her comment.

“I can’t imagine my own wife telling me that if I die, she will remarry. I became angry and inflicted injuries on her neck with a machete, which led to her death.

“I don’t regret killing her, since she wanted me to die. I killed her so that she would not remarry. She should not have said that to my hearing. There is power in spoken words. So let her go. Allah will send her to hell for that unguarded statement,” Danjuma said.

Police spokesman Mohammad Abubakar said the suspect was arrested following a tip-off, adding that he had confessed to the crime.

He said the injury the suspect inflicted on the deceased led to her death, adding that he would be charged to court.

It was gathered that the Ukrainian comedian who won the Presidential election, polled 70% support. He dominated the first round of voting three weeks ago when 39 candidates were on the ticket.

Mr Zelensky challenged incumbent president Petro Poroshenko. Mr Poroshenko has admitted defeat but told supporters gathered in Kiev that he will not leave politics.

“I will never let you down,” Mr Zelensky told supporters on Sunday. He added: “While I am not formally president yet, as a citizen of Ukraine I can tell all post-Soviet countries: ‘Look at us! Everything is possible!’”

It was learnt that thirty-seven candidates were removed from the ballot paper from the first round and yet the president only picked up about 9% more votes this time. Mr Zelensky gained almost 45 percent. Polls gave Mr Poroshenko, who has been in power since 2014, 25% of the vote. “I will leave office but I want to firmly stress – I will not quit politics,” he added

Strange happening as Liberia president forced to work from home as snake was found in his office

Read Time45Seconds

A bizarre turn of events the President of Liberia was forced to work from home recently after snakes infiltrated his office.

A spokesperson conveyed that apparently two snakes were found in the building where the President’s office is situated, which is why he started working from home.

Deputy press secretary Smith Toby told The Associated Press that former international soccer star, President George Weah was told to stay away until the Foreign Affairs building was fumigated.

The President is expected to be back in the office on Monday.

The black snakes were spotted this week briefly emerging from a hole in a wall of the building’s reception area.

Liberia is home to poisonous snakes and officials are not taking chances. The deputy press secretary says the fumigation has begun to take care of “crawling and creeping things.”

Weah, who was FIFA’s 1995 player of the year, assumed the presidency in January 2018

How to keep your marriage glowing

Read Time8 Minutes, 3 Seconds

MARRIED WOMEN AND MEN ONLY: Try your best to maintain the following schedule in your married life:

(1)between 3am-6am when kids are fast asleep sex your husband (when you see his pen*s all hard or “erect” in the morning, “jump on him” and see your husband again). Give him surprise-sex! Give him morning-penis-erection-sex,

(2)between 5am-6am bath with your husband (get in the big bath together, talk and have interesting sex again), then clothe him and yourself and go to work, or drop kids at school or do your chores,

(3)if you are a home-stay-mom, go buy food and nice-panty and bra to “entice” your husband after work. Buy all sorts of sexy panties ( NOT granny-panties! NOT mommy-panties! But panties which says “husband-here’s your wife”, “come eat me now!”. (When he comes home welcome him with a juicy-kiss and a big-warm-hug), quickly take him to the marriage bedroom, undress your husband fast/slow, give him quick sex, food, and allow him to rest (treat your husband like a king). RESPECT YOUR HUSBAND ALL THE TIME!

(4)after work hours focus on the kids(help them with the “school home work”, prepare thier clothes, or get a nanny to sort that out, including thier lunchboxes) and everything they need for tomorrow,

(5) study (read the bible or any university degree), keep your eyes AWAY FROM stupid soapies which teach you to destroy your marriages,

(6)entertain yourself by having evening marital sex again (6pm to 11pm when the kids are busy or sleeping), massage each other with oil and talk, laugh and be together, be in each others arms, drink some tea, juice, biscuits, snacks! Dance naked in the bedroom before your husband! Entertainment is free! These are the time when “nyatsis” take your husbands from you. SO BETWEEN 3AM-11PM make sure he is in your arms having a lot of passionate sex, many-kisses, fun and joy! Nyatsi (are satanic women who break homes by “using what you reject”). SO KEEP YOUR HUSBAND AT HOME WITH GOOD FOOD AND MARITAL LOVE.

(7)pray for each other and pray together, then sleep, [dont forget to pray for me as well], pray for God to bless all his people and sleep. NEVER USE YOUR marriage BEDROOM TO GOSSIP. Use it for sex, baby making, resting and fun and planning. NO QUARRELS OR WARS IN THE MATRIMONIAL BEDROOM.

(8)sometimes wake your husband up between 10pm to 3am to do some more sex. BE A WIFE! Not a witch! NEVER SLEEP WITH A HORNY-HUSBAND WHO CRAVES YOUR VAGINA NEXT TO YOU (give him four/five quick sex rounds and let him sleep with a Big smile). BE A WIFE, NOT A ROOM MATE!

(9)During weekends go out to a park (as husband and wife, do a little braai, have a simple time out, or fly out, or whatever it is you have to do),

(10) IF HIS WORK IS TIRING DURING THE WEEK, THEN GIVE HIM A LOT OF SEX ALL WEEKEND LONG (but go to church on weekend), never miss church. PREPARE HIS SHOES, SNEAKERS, JEANS OR SUITS (or anything he likes and attend church services). After church give him some more sex until Monday morning. TAKE THE KIDS OUT TO PLAY DURING WEEKENDS (so you and your husband can be all alone in the house). Have sex in the kitchen, sitting room, dinning rooms, toilet, bathroom, pantry, garage, and everywhere in the house be naked to yourselves and enjoy marriage! BE A HAPPY FAMILY! God like such joy in marriage. BE CRAZY-IN-LOVE with your husband.

A WIFE MUST NOT BE FAT (she must be sexy). Don’t be an elephant! PUT TAP ON YOUR WEIGHT. Loose weight after birth. KEEP yourself HEALTHY first). Don’t allow “nyatsis” to take your husband through sexy-body-appeals which you used to have prior/during marriage. KEEP YOUR BODY AS BEFORE and keep your man’s eyes on you!

STOP LIVING A COMPLICATED LIFE! A cluttered life is dangerous.

– funerals
– meetings
– work or more business deals
– unplanned schedules
– inlaws
– friends

(1)marry a woman who has a stinking breath (so that you can give her sweets all the time), see “halitosis” as a way to kiss her with a sweet inside the mouth, that’s entertainment right there!

(2)marry a woman with stinking feet(wash her feet and oil her), bath time is good for talking and relaxing, get bathroom snacks, food and etc in there, go buy those aroma bath jells and wash your wife’s stinky under arms and feet (NEVER have time for nyatsi), keep your eyes on your wife! BE A HOMEBOY with your wife and kids. A good man is always with his wife or in church on his knees praying. NEVER BE BUSY IN LIFE WITH THINGS THAT DON’T NEED YOU! Make money, go home to your wife and kids, go church to kneel before God who created you and pray for your wife, kids, neighbours and everyone to be blessed and protected and prosperous. NEVER SPEND TIME WITH NYATSIS (be a man of order and discipline).

(3)have time to swim, run or exercise or do things together beside work, business, ministry and etc.

(4)Learn to wash your wife’s hair and learn to blow-dry her hair, touch her scalp, massage her until she sleeps. TOUCH HER nerves GENTLY until she sleeps in your arms like a baby, stress-free!

(5)LEARN TO SHAVE YOUR WIFE’S VAGINA AND THE HAIR BETWEEN THE BUTTOCKS AND UNDER ARMS. Shave and look Mr husband. Adore your wife’s body. THAT IS CALLED FAITHFULNESS until death do you part! And wash her after shaving, then do sex again. KEEP YOUR LIFE SIMPLE!

(6)DRIVE AND FLY TOGETHER! Journeys are special time.

(7)A WISE WIFE must learn to have sex with her husband with all the plus 50 sex styles in marriage. KEEP THE HUSBAND BUSY INSIDE YOU (an idling man is easily tempted).SO KEEP HIS MARRIED-PENIS BUSY INSIDE THE MOST HOLY PLACE (thee only place where the bible says “he must drink” from. Make your husband drink from the fountain/cistern of marriage. Proverbs is loaded with wisdom of pussyfying a husband in order to keep his sexual energy in check. Never make an excuse as a wife, apply wisdom to counteract “concubines/nyatsis/prostitutes” which steal husbands. OPEN YOUR THIGHS AND SEX YOUR HUSBAND TOO MUCH. When you get out of the house he must be sexual satisfied and happy. SEXUALLY CONTENT.

MARRIAGE IS FUN! God created marriage for enjoyment.

Life was meant to have someone to walk with.

If people are breaking your harmony, planting evil thoughts about you/your husband/wife, REMOVE THEM OUT OF YOUR MARRIED LIFE.

YOU HAVE TO FIGHT THE DEVILS THAT FIGHT YOUR MARRIAGE TOGETHERNESS(side-by-side). You have to be married to a person who destroy the “demons-assaults/attacks” to stay married. A fighter! An SFF (not an EFF).

– no beer or habit or cigarettes should separate you,
– no child of fornication should separate you,
– no ex/history should come between you,
– no condition should keep you apart,
– no friends/colleagues/inlaws/siblings/parents should come between you,
– no concubine should enter your spouse heart,
– no job should come between you,

Stupid people always DRAG something inside the marriage to break the peace, the joy, the happiness, the blessed life.

Never sleep in a hotel if you should be home in the arms of your wife or husband. ELSE GO HAVE SEX IN THE HOTEL WITH YOUR WIFE, SLEEP THE NIGHTS YOU HAVE BOOKED IN THERE AND GO BACK HOME.

Never open a door for concubines/ colleagues (nyatsi).

The issue is:
(1)who is speaking into your heart?
(2)who is the devil which is wearing a dress/ suit/sneakers pulling you apart?

In this life, learn to connect with GODLY PEOPLE AND develop the habit of REJECTING THE DEVIL WHO IS WEARING A MAKE UP, OR the demon which is DRIVING A CAR tempting you, OR the tempter WORKING WITH YOU(your enticing colleagues), or the foolish “relatives/inlaws” causing commotion where there is love and peace.

“Don’t forget TO FOLLOW ME LAWI DWAYNE KEVANS for more dating tips for a healthy, long lasting and a happy relationships”

NEVER COMPARE YOUR MARRIAGE WITH ANOTHER/NEITHER COMPARE IT TO YOUR FRIENDS MARRIAGE. We all have different set of marriage problems. NO MARRIAGE IS WITHOUT TRIALS. The apostle paul said “those who [will] marry will face MANY TROUBLES” in this life. READ YOUR BIBLE!

MARRIAGE IS A “MANY-TROUBLES-NAVIGATION-ZONE”! You need a warrior for a wife.A committed husband for life.

WHATEVER satan is using to destroy your life, it’s up to you to reject.

Stop braking your own heart trying to hold on to a relationship that isn’t meant to be

Read Time1 Minute, 49 Seconds

Sometimes it’s better to move on than to hold on to a person who doesn’t understand you. Sometimes your absence will teach what your presence cannot…
Hey you, Stop breaking your own heart by trying to make a relationship work that clearly isn’t meant to work. You can’t force someone to care about you. You can’t force someone to be loyal. You can’t force someone to be the person you need them to be.
I’ll be real with you, sometimes the person you want most is the person you’re best without. You have got to understand some things are meant to happen, but just not meant to be. Some things are meant to come in your life, just not meant to stay.
Don’t lose yourself by trying to fix what’s meant to stay broken. You can’t get the relationship you need from someone who’s not ready to give it you. And I know it’s hard when your heart has labeled that person as someone you could spend forever with, but you just have to accept that they’re not that person anymore. And you might not understand WHY NOW, but I promise you your future will always bring understanding of why things didn’t work out. TRUST ME
It is better to be alone and be happy than to be in a miserable relationship…
Whoever sees you as an option doesn’t deserve to be a priority in your life, you call him honey but he treats you like a monkey, He is your everything but you are nothing to him, you are doing everything to make it work, but he keeps thinking you are desperate and turns all your efforts to weakness…
Never keep awake thinking
about someone who is
deeply sleeping with
someone else.
Never stay a minute
thinking about someone who cant spend a
thinking about you.
Leave that person who
takes your love for granted
and doesnt love you back
the way you do,
Love should be balanced
not based one side.
Its better to be single than
being in an ugly
relationship that will make
you cry forever .

Mother strangled her 2 year son because he was crying.

Read Time2 Minutes, 6 Seconds

The terrible suspicion was unfortunately confirmed: little Gabriel, the 2-year-old boy who died yesterday in Piedimonte San Germano (Frosinone), was killed, strangled by his mother.
According to the reconstruction to trigger the reaction culminating in tragedy would have been a trivial whim, the desperate cry because he wanted to go home to his grandmother. The 28-year-old, who initially called for help by telling the police that her son had been hit by a pirate car in the town of Volla. At the end of a very long interrogation in the night she was arrested for the murder of her son.

The version of the road accident had not convinced the investigators that they had started further investigations since yesterday. “They invested me with my son in my arms,” he told the investigators at first. But that story had been judged as not credible. At the indicated place, near a canal, the signs of the accident would not have been found, nor any trace of that pirate car of which she  spoke about. This is how the investigations of the carabinieri were carried out, who also searched for possible witnesses. Investigators returned with the woman to the place of the alleged investment and at that point her version of  the earlier story changed. But little by little even that new story began to falter in the face of the pressing questions of the investigators.
According to a first reconstruction of the investigators, the woman killed her 28-month-old son by tightening his neck and covering his mouth to stop him from crying, causing death by asphyxiation.
The child would have tried in vain to react, to free himself, even giving her scratches but his effort was useless. At the arrival of 118 the staff tried to give him a cardiac massage but for him there was nothing left to do. At the base of the tragedy there would have also been a difficult family situation. It seems that in the past the woman had some problems with depression and that for some time she no longer lived with the child’s father. In addition, economic difficulties would have been added to this too.
So the desperate cry of her son, a trivial whim for a child of that age would have triggered the terrible reaction of the mother and it ended up in the most tragic of ways. After the detention  during the night on the orders of the public prosecutor of Cassino, the 28-year-old was transferred to the women’s section of the Rebibbia prison in Rome.

UK-based Ghanaian with 2 vaginas, 2 wombs opens up on condition

Read Time1 Minute, 41 Seconds

It may probably sound like a fairy tale to hear there exists a woman who has more than one vagina and one womb, but Elizabeth Amoah has lived with this condition for quite some time and has now decided to let the world know about it.

Speaking on 3FM’s Drive with Giovani Caleb over the week Elizabeth, also known as ‘Special Lady’, disclosed she has had to undergo seven medical surgeries after she was diagnosed of having sexual complications.

“I discovered I had a double womb and a double vagina canal in 2015 after an MRI scan, so I had to undergo about 7 surgeries,” she told Giovani Caleb.

The scan, according to her, also detected she had Endometriosis: a sexual disorder in which tissues linings of the uterus grows outside the uterus.

She explained having a double vagina means “having one vagina outside and the other inside”.

She added that the double womb usually does not come with any symptoms but rather exposes one to health challenges such as irregular periods, fibroids, irregular fainting and in some instances cause infertility.

“I had a premature baby after four years of not conceiving, and going through such health situations wasn’t easy,” she said.

She noted the condition is not common in women, saying “research says it can be found in one out of 350 women and the person might not even know she has it”.

Having gone through the ordeal, Elizabeth is currently back to Ghana to kick start a campaign dubbed “The Unspoken Topics”, a project she with her Special Lady Foundation plans to use as a tool in educating women, especially young ladies, on female reproductive health challenges.

Commencing a project which will engage young ladies in Ghana on the health challenges women go through reproductively, the Foundation will on Sunday, April 14, 2019 start the campaign at the Nima Berlin Bridge at 2pm.

The project is expected to receive 400 women both young and old for an encounter with Elizabeth Amoah, the Chief Executive Officer of the Special Lady Foundation.

Brexit: Germany’s CDU leader hopes for second referendum

Read Time4 Minutes, 29 Seconds

Have you heard about the British party guest? He’s the one who announces he’s leaving, then you find him hours later wandering around the house with no money for a taxi. When he finally goes, he takes two bottles of wine with him.”

European stereotype depictions tend to portray Germans as lacking a sense of humour.

But in political cartoons and on satire shows like Extra 3, Germany is finding plenty to laugh about Brexit.

“Fisch und Tschüss” is a die Heute Show slogan. A play on words for the traditional UK dish, fish and chips. Except Tschüss in German means goodbye.

After initially mourning the UK’s vote to leave, then following every twist and turn of negotiations for a while, many Germans now feel alienated from the proces

They can’t keep up with what’s going on in the House of Commons.

“I no longer care so much how Brexit ends,” you often hear. “As long as it ends.”

“Brexit has been a strain on all of us. In some ways it has paralysed us,” Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer told me in Berlin in a UK exclusive interview.

She’s the leader of Germany’s CDU party, very close to Angela Merkel and widely tipped to be the next German chancellor.

Ms Kramp-Karrenbauer – also known as AKK- is far from detached when it comes to Brexit.

She and a number of other German politicians penned a letter to The Times newspaper back in January, appealing to the UK to change its mind.

Now the thing about the EU’s determined attempt to show unity at all times over Brexit means it has been frustratingly difficult to get EU leaders to agree to in-depth on-the-record Brexit interviews .

But AKK is not the German chancellor. She had no qualms about laying bare her Brexit regret.

“Anything that keeps the UK close to the EU and best of all, in the EU, would make me personally very happy” she told me.

“Maybe that could result from the current talks between Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn.”

She hopes for a second referendum – but only, she said, if the majority of UK citizens felt it would heal the country rather than exacerbate divisions further.

With the deadline for a Brexit decision looming next week on 12 April, Ms Kramp-Karrenbauer believes the risk of the UK leaving without a deal have “risen dramatically”. This is something German business find no laughing matter.

A recent poll suggested 100,000 German jobs could be affected by a no-deal Brexit.

The BDI Federation of German Industry warned Germany would lose at least 0.5% of its GDP – and this at a time when the German economy is already heading south.

That, I think, is why there is a sudden, noticeable softening in tone when EU leaders speak about Brexit.

At a press conference in Dublin on Thursday, Chancellor Merkel struck a determinedly encouraging note.

Instead of “no-deal is the most likely scenario” or “if Theresa May requests a longer extension, we’ll attach really tough conditions”, which we’ve got used to hearing by now, Mrs Merkel chose the words: “Where there’s a will, there’s a way.”

Peering into the abyss of a no-deal Brexit over the last few days, EU leaders have had a short, sharp reality check.

What impact would that have on them and their countries, they wonder? And what are they be prepared to do to avoid it?

There is no common EU position on this yet. That’s putting it politely.

Verbal fisticuffs are predicted at next week’s emergency Brexit summit when the 27 EU leaders come face-to-face.

The man who represents all of them here in Brussels, president of the European Council Donald Tusk, thinks he may have found a solution. Though it doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue.

He’s proposing what he calls a “flextension” which could see the UK signing up to a one-year-long Brexit delay with the option to cut it short as soon as parliament ratified the Brexit deal.

Mr Tusk believes the arrangement would suit the EU and the UK – and as one EU official put it to me: it would avoid Brussels potentially being faced with “endless” UK requests for repeated short extensions every few weeks.

EU leaders will discuss Mr Tusk’s proposal at their emergency Brexit summit next Wednesday. By law, their decision must be unanimous.

Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer suggested something else the EU could do: take another look at the controversial backstop guarantee to keep the border open after Brexit:

If the UK now came to us and said “let’s spend five days negotiating non-stop on how to avoid the backstop”, I can’t imagine anyone in Europe saying ‘No’. If the UK had new watertight proposals for the border, I don’t think anyone in the EU would say ‘We don’t want to talk about it.'”

Far from official EU Brexit policy, but it gives us a taster of the kind of conversations going on behind closed EU political doors.

Nigeria’s Public Debt Grows By 12.25%, Hits N24.387tn

Read Time5 Minutes, 12 Seconds

Nigeria’s aggregate public debt grew 12.25 per cent or N2.66 trillion year-on-year as at December 31, 2018, totalling N24.387 trillion ($79.437 billion), compared to N21.7 trillion posted over the same period in 2017, the Debt Management Office (DMO) has revealed.

A breakdown of the debts showed that external debt stood at N7.759.23 trillion ($22bn), while domestic component stood at N16.627.84 trillion ($56bn).

The DMO’s Director General, Ms. Patience Oniha, who briefed journalists in Abuja, said the debt figure comprised those owed by federal, states and Federal Capital Territory administrations.

She disclosed that the share of domestic debt dropped to 68.18 per cent from 73.36 per cent as at December 31, 2017 thereby achieving a mix of 68.18 per cent and 31.82 per cent in the debt stock.

Of the total debt stock, Oniha disclosed that the federal government loans accounted for 78 per cent of the figure, while states and the FCT accounted for 22 per cent, adding that the federal government has an external debt stock of N6.4 trillion while the domestic component stood at N17.11 trillion.

According to her, this brings the federal government’s debt profile to N19.23 trillion.
Similarly, she said the states and the FCT have external debt of N1.25 trillion and N3.85 trillion domestic debt, or a total of N5.15 trillion.

Giving further breakdown, Oniha said that the federal government’s domestic debt stock comprised N331.12 billion Promissory Notes issued to oil marketing companies and state governments in December 2018, noting that the government’s debt strategy of exploring external funds was achieving the expected objectives, some of which were to freeing more space for other borrowers in the domestic market.

“Other objectives are to extend the average tenor of the debt stock in order to reduce refinancing risk and increase external reserves,” Oniha said.

“The share of domestic debt dropped to 68.18per cent from 73.36 per cent as at December 31, 2017 thereby achieving a Mix of 68.18 per cent and 31.82 per cent in the Debt Stock. According to the DMO the strategy of using relatively cheaper and longer tenored external funds is achieving the expected objectives. Some of the Objectives were: to create more space for other borrowers in the domestic market, extend the average tenor of the debt stock in order to reduce refinancing risk and increase External Reserves.

“The implementation of the strategy led to an injection of N855 billion through the redemption of Nigerian Treasury Bills in 2018 and a general drop in the FGN’s borrowing rate in the domestic market from over 18 per cent p.a. in 2017 to 14 – 15 per cent p.a. in 2018,” she added.

According to her, some of its major plans in 2019 are to undertake more of project-tied borrowing and access more external borrowing from concessional sources, stressing that the DMO announced plans to issue 30-year federal government of Nigeria Bonds (FGN Bonds) for the first time.

“The issuance of the Bond will meet the needs of annuity funds and other long term investors while also developing the domestic capital market and reducing the re-financing risk of the FGN. Another area of focus will be the management of Risks associated with the Debt Stock to mitigate debt service costs.

“Another area of focus will be the management of risks associated with the debt stock to mitigate debt service costs,.” she said, adding that this is captured in the 2019 budget proposal before the National Assembly.

On the deficit of N1.649 trillion in the 2019 budget, she said the federal government would borrow N824 billion of the amount borrowed domestically through federal government Bonds, Sukuk, Green Bonds and Savings Bonds.
The other N824 billion is expected to be financed externally from concessional sources as they are cheaper and are longer-termed funds for infrastructure, she added.

Oniha said that the planned N15 billion Green Bonds and the infrastructure bonds would be issued in the second quarter of 2019.

Investments in Sukuk, Green Bond will Boost Financial Inclusion, Says DMO

Meanwhile, Oniha has stated that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is currently promoting investments in Sukuk and other green bonds to promote financial inclusion as well as reduce poverty in the country.
Speaking in Abuja at the second edition of the Sigma Pensions Business Roundtable, themed: “Navigating the Frontiers of Ethical Investing”, she noted that previous experience from the issuance of two Sukuk bonds, which were oversubscribed had been beneficial, and further stressed the need for the investment base for ethical products to be broadened.

The DMO boss said: “The experience from the issuance of Sukuk bonds has been beneficial to the government.
The Sukuk is one of the landmark achievement not only in terms of fund but the projects being implemented”.
“We will like to do more with Sukuk because it’s transparent but the major issue for us now is to increase the investor base for ethical products,” she added.

APC Abandons Amaechi, Says it Had No Interest in Rivers Elections

Onyebuchi Ezigbo in Abuja

The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that it has nothing to do with governorship election in Rivers State, declining to comment on the outcome of the poll since its candidate did not participate in the March 9 election.

The leader of the APC in Rivers State and Minister of Transportation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi had asked APC members to support the governorship candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Mr. Awara Biokpomabo.

Amaechi’s spokesperson, Mr. David Iyofor, while confirming the position of the state chapter of APC to journalists said the leadership of the state chapter had agreed to support AAC.

He said: “This morning, the leadership of the party met and agreed that we would work with a party called African Action Congress (AAC), while we are still in court to reclaim our mandate”.

However, following the declaration of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor Nyesom Wike as winner of the election, the APC said it had nothing to say on the conduct of the poll.

When asked about the position of the party on the final result of the election, the National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Lanre Isa-Onilu, who spoke with Akelicious yesterday, said: “We didn’t contest in Rivers.”

He said it would not be proper to immediately comment on what transpired in the election since it was not part of it.

Free Internet Access For Nigerians Coming, Says FG

Read Time1 Minute, 25 Seconds

Adebayo Shittu, minister of Communications, has said that the federal government will ensure free access to the internet in public places across Nigeria.

Mr Shittu said this in Abuja at a one-day stakeholders workshop on the role of the Public Internet Access for Economic Development.

“We are trying to ensure the vision of free Wi-Fi all over, particularly in public spaces, at the airport, schools and all that,” Mr. Shittu said on Tuesday.

Mr. Shittu said the government had been trying to ensure that internet accessibility is made available not just for privileged Nigerians but everyone.

“The Federal Ministry of Communication will ensure the privacy of beneficiaries of the free internet services is protected,” he said.

He said for this to be a reality, more investments are needed because the government alone cannot handle the financial responsibilities involved.

Mr. Shittu listed some of the challenges faced by the government in providing free internet services to include high cost of access, low broadband penetration, poor internet infrastructure, and poor enabling environment.

“The solutions to these challenges are beyond government’s intervention,” he said.

“In order to bridge the existing digital divide and encourage more Nigerians to participate in the global digital economy, private organisations and international partners are encouraged to support the government in different strategic ways.

“One of the models being adopted recently is the provision of free internet access by Public Internet Access Providers (PIAPs) in strategic locations to help more Nigerians connect to the internet in pursuit of social and developmental objectives for a return on investment (ROI) through advertisement or other means.

“This is expected to fuel some changes especially in creating jobs and help local SMEs compete with global brands.”

Osun Guber: Court nullifies Adeleke’s nomination as PDP candidate over certificate forgery

An Abuja High Court on Tuesday, nullified the nomination of Senator Ademola Adeleke as candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the September 22, 2018 governorship election in Osun state.

Few weeks to the poll, two chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Wahab Raheem and Adam Habeeb, dragged Adeleke to court accusing him of not possessing the requisite educational qualification (secondary school certificate), to contest for the office of Governor.

They prayed the court for an order to disqualify Adeleke from participating in the election.

Delivering judgment in the suit on Tuesday, Justice Oathman Musa annulled Adeleke’s nomination on the grounds that Adeleke offended section 177 of the 1999 constitution as amended, which stipulates that candidates for the position of Governor must be educated up to secondary school level.

According to Justice Musa, while the court’s findings showed that Adeleke entered secondary school in 1976, there was no record to show that he actually graduated, as his name was no longer seen in the school’s register from 1980.

Justice Musa further stated that the result Adeleke attached to his form CF001 which he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was fake, as it was found to be different from the one presented to the court by the principal of Ede Muslim High School, Ede in Osun State.

Adeleke’s lawyer, Nathaniel Oke SAN, has faulted the judgment of Justice Musa, on the grounds that the judge erred in law by going out of his way to source for evidence to arrive at his “unjust conclusion”.

Lagos gay pastor arrested for infecting underage boys with HIV
Prince Chizemdere Ezuma, the founder of Jesus Intervention Household Ministry, Ejigbo, Lagos, has been arrested for allegedly sodomising, prostituting and infecting underage boys with HIV virus.
According to Thenation, he was arrested at his residence after an informant notified the police he had resurfaced, three months after he was declared wanted.
It was gathered that the suspect climbed his ceiling where he hid for over two hours to evade arrest when detectives stormed his home few days ago.
The suspect was declared wanted after an alleged male prostitute, Prince Chinecherem, was arrested and charged to court after a 16-year-old victim, Anthony Ikem, made revelations that implicated them.
Ikem, who was found sneaking out of the suspect’s home with a polythene bag containing used condoms and other items, was accosted by neighbours and he confessed he was one of several sex partners of the pastor.
Ikem also confirmed that the Ezuma usually gave them to service some of his male clients including VIPs. The teenager was taken to the hospital for checks and it was discovered he was HIV+.
It was gathered that some residents of the community were worried he was corrupting their male children and initiating them into the club, hence, their keen interest to see that he was arrested and prosecuted.
Findings revealed that Ezuma was moved to the Gender Section at the Police Command Ikeja, yesterday afternoon, following pressure from certain quarters in the division to release him.
In his confessional statement to the police, Ezuma claimed he usually paid the boys N2,000 for sex. Investigation showed that he brought about 15 boys into his apartment where he forcefully penetrated them all through the anus.
“The reverend confirmed he is HIV+ and has been receiving treatment for over three years. So, he knew he was HIV positive and still infected his victims and clients with it,” said a source.

Onwuzuligbo Nneka Miriam, winner of the Face of Democracy Transformation, 2013 has been confirmed dead after a failed and unsuccessful buttocks enlargement surgery.

Onwuzuligbo Nneka Miriam died after an American Surgeon based in Lagos identified as Dr Anu conducted a buttocks enlargement surgery that has left her in a coma since December 30, 2018, before giving up the ghost on February 3rd 2019.

According to abnews247, the uncertified America surgeon, Dr Anu after the failure in carrying out the fat transfer surgery at her Med Contour Cosmetic Surgery took to her heels

We learnt that it wasn’t the first time the uncertified surgeon has been involved in cases of unsuccessful fat transfer surgery.

It was said that Dr Anu has several cases and records of surgery failures and complications.

In fact, recently two top Lagos Big Babes have been victims of her misplaced professional ethics and operations, which led to the improper shift of their buttocks during the surgeries conducted by Dr Anu.

Meanwhile, organiser of Face of Democracy Nigeria Pageant, Alexander Ajagbonno, has expressed regrets and bitterness over the loss of Queen Miriam Onwuzuligbo, who was the 2nd runner-up in the 2013 edition of Face of Democracy Nigeria, an outcome which the deceased refused to accept claiming that she merited the 1st crown.

Queen Miriam had dragged the organisers to court for legal interventions until last year when the case was finally dismissed.

The death of Queen Miriam may be disheartening, but also a lesson to other young ladies, who would not carry out critical research in a particular clinic before engaging them in such sensitive services.

The American citizen, Dr. Anu has had several professional scandals, ranging from poorly conducted surgeries to complications as a medical practitioner.

However, since the last failed surgery on Queen Nneka, she has halted all activities on social media including her 43k followers Instagram handle @med_contour, where she used to post frequently.

We also gathered that she may be in hiding.

Pasuma’s New Single ‘Amen’ Featuring Davido

Read Time1 Minute, 31 Seconds

The rhythm felt oddly familiar. Not unlike a lot of Nigerian songs selectively enjoying airplay these days. It had all the standard elements of a typical Nigerian song.

Eagerly paying homage to God’s covering, engineering a plea to collide with material success and requesting a massacre of all enemies, real or imagined.

In a time when Nigerian artistes are more interested in trading tackles only with their foreign music counterparts, this particular collaboration came as some sort of surprise.

A music veteran like fuji icon Pasuma, spewing lyrics with pop star Davido, another giant from a different era is not something you usually come across every day.

Not with the said veteran affirming his familiarity with the next generation by undertaking to create a song that resonates with their kind.

It wasn’t really hard to pinpoint their lyrical direction with their use of a popular Yoruba gospel song of the 90s and an excessive repetition of ‘Amen’ as some sort of byline.

Eminore Oluwa

My favourite part of the lyrics was the creative use of their children’s names to introduce themselves, right before they declared their official titles.

PASUMA: Daddy Wasila, Baba Baraka

DAVIDO: Oga Ade, Oga Ade, Oriade Baba Imade

Apart from the aforementioned shift, the lyrics of the song was uneventful and a little bland, employing little or no intellect to create; a vital criterion to getting Nigerians to love it.

An overall summation would describe the song ‘Amen’ as a well put-together, carefully-worded ‘gospel-ish’ song, with many mentions of self and family; crafted by arguably two of the hardest working artistes from across two generations.

The softly progressive, upbeat sound that accompanies the song is pleasantly mild and surprisingly unobtrusive. It will definitely catch the hearts of Nigerians.

They will vibe with it.

They will say Amen.

We won’t give certificate of return to lawmaker who won in Akpabio’s LGA – INEC

Read Time1 Minute, 52 Seconds

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Akwa Ibom State, says it would not issue a certificate of return to the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate who won the just concluded House of Assembly election for Essien Udim State Constituency.

Except for this particular area – Essien Udim State Constituency – the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won all the remaining 25 seats for the state House of Assembly.

Godswill Akpabio, a senator from the state, is from Essien Udim.

The PDP is the ruling party in Akwa Ibom.

“We have 25 of them here, apart from Essien Udim,” the INEC spokesperson in the state, Don Etukudoh, said of the number of state lawmakers-elect who would be receiving their certificate of return this Thursday.

“His name is not here.

“I think that constituency has issues to be settled by the national headquarters of INEC. That issue is yet to be settled,” Mr Etukudoh told PREMIUM TIMES.

He did not, however, say what the “issues” were.

“I am not in the position to talk about it. I know we are not giving that constituency a certificate of return today.”

The affected candidate, Nse Ntuen, defeated the PDP candidate, Esse Umoh, with votes from two wards only, after INEC cancelled elections in the other nine wards that make up the local government area.

Mr Ntuen, a serving lawmaker, is seeking to return to the state assembly for a second term.

He had followed Mr Akpabio to defect from the PDP to the APC last year.

Mr Ntuen’s defection then, including that of four other PDP state lawmakers, ignited a major crisis, which turned violent, at the state assembly last year, when the five of them were sacked from the assembly because of their defection.

His four other colleagues, his co-decampees, had ‘elected’ him ‘speaker’ of the assembly to further polarise the house and hit back at the Speaker, Onofiok Luke.

Mr Akpabio, a former governor of the state, lost re-election and is at the tribunal to challenge INEC’s declaration of his opponent, Chris Ekpenyong, as senator-elect for Akwa Ibom North-West District.

Governor Udom Emmanuel of the PDP, who has won re-election, is also expected to receive his certificate of return today.

The event is taking place at the state INEC headquarters, Uyo.

We are sorry’: Apple issues rare apology to people who bought expensive MacBooks

Read Time1 Minute, 40 Seconds

Apple has made a highly unusual apology to customers whose expensive MacBook laptops are not working properly. Last year, the tech giant released a new range of computers featuring a ‘third-generation butterfly keyboard’ designed to be thinner than older models. But owners claimed the keyboard stopped functioning when bits of dust or dirt became stuck under the keys. A number of lawsuits were even launched against Apple over the issue. Now it’s stepped up to apologise to anyone whose pricey laptop has a broken keyboard. ‘We are aware that a small number of users are having issues with their third-generation butterfly keyboard and for that we are sorry,’ the company told the Wall Street Journal. ‘The vast majority of Mac notebook customers are having a positive experience with the new keyboard.’

MacBooks are high-performance laptops with hefty price tags to match. A basic Air model costs £949, whilst the Pro starts at £1,249. If your keyboard has stuck keys or isn’t working properly, the best thing to do is take it into an Apple store. You could also try cleaning it using a can of compressed air to blow out the dust and dirt.

Apple is reportedly planning to release a beastly new laptop with a whopping great 16-inch screen this year. Apple’s new computer is expected to feature a new screen with technology which gives it ‘outstanding picture quality,’ reported However, before you get excited we’d like to remind you a 15-inch Macbook Pro currently starts at £2,349 so if that seems unaffordable, the bigger model is likely to appear even more out of reach. Apple could cut costs by removing the controversial ‘Touch Bar’ from its upcoming laptops. This bar works a bit like a touchscreen, sitting at the top of the computer and performing various functions. However, it was not met with unanimous critical applause and some customers might agree to do without it rather than that fork out more money for the device.

Manchester United confirm Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as permanent manager

Read Time2 Minutes, 8 Seconds

Ole Gunnar Solskjær has been upgraded from his interim managerial role to the permanent manager for Manchester United.

The Red Devils made the announcement and confirmation of Solskjær’s new role via an official statement on their website on Thursday.

The club noted that the exemplary results masterminded by the Norwegian coach made it needless to look elsewhere to get a substantive coach hence the decision to hand Solskjaer a three-year contract.

Solskjær was originally contracted in a caretaker capacity until the end of the season but has revived Manchester United so impressively since taking over from José Mourinho in December that his appointment on a longer-term basis has been long awaited by many.

Speaking on what could be best be described as a dream come true, Solskjær said he is more than excited with the honour he has been accorded.

“From the first day I arrived, I felt at home at this special club,” said Solskjær on United’s official website. “It was an honour to be a Manchester United player, and then to start my coaching career here. The last few months have been a fantastic experience and I want to thank all of the coaches, players and staff for the work we’ve done so far. This is the job that I always dreamed of doing and I’m beyond excited to have the chance to lead the club long-term and hopefully deliver the continued success that our amazing fans deserve.”

On his part, Ed Woodward, Executive Manchester United Vice Chairman, said the results of the coach speaks volume and cannot be wished away

He said “Since coming in as caretaker manager in December, the results Ole has delivered speak for themselves.

“More than just performances and results, Ole brings a wealth of experience, both as a player and as a coach, coupled with a desire to give young players their chance and a deep understanding of the culture of the club. This all means that he is the right person to take Manchester United forward.

“I want to thank Ole and the coaching team for everything they have done so far and congratulate him on this richly deserved appointment. The fans and everyone at the club are behind him as he looks to take us where we need to be and build the next stage of our history.”

As an interim manager, Solskjær has already set and broken many records and the club fans will be hoping for more now that he has been handed a three-year contract.

Nigerians now order Pizza from London through British Airways – Buhari’s Minister, Ogbeh tells Senate

Read Time54Seconds

The Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbeh, has revealed that Nigerians import everything, including Pizza from London.

Ogbeh disclosed that those who order Pizza from London make their orders in the morning through British Airways airlines.

He made the revelation while appearing before the Senate Committee on Agriculture on Wednesday.

According to Ogbeh, “Do you know, sir, that there are Nigerians who use their cellphones to import pizza from London; they buy in London and bring it on British Airways in the morning to pick up at the airport. It is a very annoying situation and we have to move a lot faster in cutting down some of these things.

”Nigeria is a nation of importers, toothpick every year costs us 18 million dollars; tomato paste costs us 400 million dollars. Meanwhile, a basket of tomatoes is less than N2,000.

“The farmers are losing money because the processors do not have enough funds to set up factories. Two factories have started off. I am sure by the end of next year we can comfortably tell the importers of tomato paste to stop.”

A Bangladeshi mother has stunned doctors by giving birth to healthy twins 26 days after her first child was born.

Arifa Sultana, 20, gave birth to a baby boy last month through normal delivery, but doctors missed the presence of a second uterus.

“She didn’t realise she was still pregnant with the twins. Her waters broke again 26 days after the first baby was born and she rushed to us,” Sheila Poddar, a gynaecologist who treated the woman, told AFP.

Podder carried out an emergency caesarean section to deliver the twins – one boy and one girl – last Friday.

The young woman from Jessore district in southwest Bangladesh was allowed to go home with her three healthy babies on Tuesday. Podder said there were no complications.

“I haven’t seen any case like this in my 30-year plus medical career,” Dilip Roy, chief government doctor in Jessore, said.

Roy questioned the actions of Khulna Medical College Hospital doctors for not detecting the second pregnancy.

Hailing from a poor family, Sultana said she was happy with the three children but felt concerned how she would bring them up.

She told AFP her husband earns barely 6,000 taka ($70) a month as a labourer. “I don’t know how we will manage such a huge responsibility with this little amount.”

Her husband Sumon Biswas put on a brave face. “It was a miracle from Allah that all of my children are healthy. I will try my best to keep them happy,” he said.

The children have been named Ifad Islam Noor, Mohammad Huzaifa and Jannatul Mawa Khadija.

Ship hijacked by migrants off Libya escorted to Malta

Vessel changed course after rescued migrants realised they were being taken back to Libya

A merchant ship hijacked by migrants off the coast of Libya has been escorted to Malta by the country’s armed forces.

Armed military personnel stood guard on the ship’s deck and a dozen or so migrants were visible as the Elhibru 1 docked at Boiler Wharf in the city of Senglea. Several police vans were lined up on shore to take custody of the migrants for investigation.

The ship rescued about 108 migrants in the Mediterranean on Wednesday and suddenly changed course towards Europe after the migrants realised they were being taken back to Libya. Migrants in Libya face trafficking, kidnap, torture and rape, according to the United Nations and aid groups.

The Maltese armed forces (AFM) said that contact was made with Elhibru 1 when it was about 30 nautical miles away from Malta.

“The captain repeatedly stated that he was not in control of the vessel and that he and his crew were being forced and threatened by a number of migrants to proceed to Malta,” AFM said in statement.

“AFM patrol vessel P21 stopped the tanker from entering the Maltese territorial waters. An AFM special operations unit team was dispatched to board and secure the vessel in order to hand over control of the ship to the captain. The team was backed up by AFM patrol vessel P51, two fast interceptor craft, and one the AFM’s AW 139 helicopters. P21 kept on escorting and monitoring the tanker throughout the operation.”

The tanker, crew and all migrants were being escorted to Boiler Wharf, where they would be handed over to the police for further investigations, the statement added.

On Wednesday, Matteo Salvini, Italy’s deputy prime minister and interior minister, vowed to block the ship from arriving in Italy after receiving news of the hijacking.

“These are not migrants in distress, they are pirates. They will only see Italy through a telescope,” he said.

Salvini, who is also the leader of the far-right League party, has been at the centre of several international standoffs over his refusal to let humanitarian ships dock in Italy.

Last week, Italy’s senate rejected a request by prosecutors to investigate him for kidnapping over a case in August when he blocked an Italian coastguard ship with 150 people onboard for almost a week off Sicily before finally letting it dock.

This week, Italian authorities released the Mare Jonio charity rescue ship, which was seized in March after it defied the government’s order not to bring migrants to Italy.

On Wednesday, the European Union said it would stop its sea patrols in the Mediterranean, which have rescued thousands of refugees and migrants, after the Italian government threatened to veto the EU’s entire operation in the waters.

Operation Sophia, which has two vessels and five planes and helicopters, was set up in 2015 to prevent loss of life at sea in a year when 3,771 people died or went missing attempting to reach Europe in rickety boats.

The sea patrol element of the operation will end on 30 September, though air patrols will be stepped up. The mission will also continue training the Libyan coastguard – part of a controversial strategy that critics say leads to people being trapped in Libyan detention centres, where they suffer horrific abuse.

More than 80 people rescued off the Libyan coast in November and returned to the port of Misrata on a cargo ship refused to leave for more than a week and were eventually forced to disembark at gunpoint.

The number of migrant arrivals from North Africa and the Middle East has fallen sharply since a 2015 peak.

Brunei to punish gay sex and adultery with death by stoning

Read Time1 Minute, 36 Seconds

(CNN)A new law which comes into effect from next week will punish homosexual sex and adultery with death in the small southeast Asian kingdom of Brunei.

Beginning on April 3, any individuals found guilty of the offenses will be stoned to death, according to a new penal code. The punishment will be “witnessed by a group of Muslims.”

The country’s strict new laws were announced in 2014, and have been rolled out gradually. The latest phase of implementation, including the brutal new provisions, was quietly announced on the Brunei attorney general’s website on December 29, 2018.

Human rights groups were quick to express horror at the penal code, which will also order amputation as a punishment for theft.

Brunei must immediately halt its plans to implement these vicious punishments, and revise its Penal Code in compliance with its human rights obligations. The international community must urgently condemn Brunei’s move to put these cruel penalties into practice,”

Rachel Chhoa-Howard, Brunei Researcher at Amnesty International, said in a statement.

There was a broad international outcry when Brunei became the first country in the region to adopt sharia law in 2014, an Islamic legal system which outlines strict corporal punishments.

The tiny, oil-rich kingdom of just over 450,000 people is located on the island of Borneo, close to moderate Islamic nations of Indonesia and Malaysia.

In comparison to its neighbors, Brunei has grown conservative in recent years, including banning the sale of alcohol. The new penal code was announced in May 2014, by the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, who also acts as the country’s prime minister.

In announcing the change, government’s website quoted the Sultan saying that his government “does not expect other people to accept and agree with it, but that it would suffice if they just respect the nation in the same way that it also respects them.”

No school, hospital admission for any child without birth certificate in Ondo – Gov Akeredolu

Read Time1 Minute, 2 Seconds

The Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has stated that birth certificate will henceforth be a prerequisite for the enrollment of any child into primary schools across the state.

Akeredolu, who made the disclosure on Tuesday at a stakeholders meeting on birth registration in Akure the Ondo State Capital, added that the National Population Commission’s birth certificate yardstick will also apply to children under the age of five seeking free treatment in government-owned hospitals.

According to the governor, the measure became imperative as it would be difficult to plan for the unregistered children, hence the need for parents to have their children registered for accelerated development.

“If we do not have childbirth registration, we cannot plan properly. Every child must have genuine birth certificate now before entering primary schools in Ondo State,” he said.

Akeredolu, who described the programme as great initiative appealed to communities and religious leaders as well as, NPC to improve on advocacy and awareness of birth registration in their domains.

Earlier, the wife of the governor, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, expressed displeasure that almost half of children under five years in the state were not considered in socio-economic planning and are therefore at risk of lacking access to basic social amenities that could ensure adequate child development

hioma Onwutalobi On Creating The Most Distributed African Lifestyle Magazine

Read Time5 Minutes, 42 Seconds

Chioma Onwutalobi was recently featured on Forbes highlighting her story as a successful entrepreneur. This feature highlights the journey of a 24 year old entrepreneur seeking to change the narrative associated with Africa. From a thriving legal career to diving into the publishing industry, she shared what led her down the path to working with some of Africa’s most prominent celebrities making Glam Africa the most distributed African lifestyle magazine today.

A Career in Law & Media to Get the Needed Experience:

Chioma’s career began in the legal department of London-based oil & gas firm. Qualifying as a lawyer was something she had always wanted to do. As part of her role, she found herself frequently traveling to various parts of Africa, often for months at a time, including Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, and The Democratic Republic of Congo. Whilst working on deals, she felt significantly disconnected to her country of origin and came to the realization that she knew very little about its neighboring African countries. When sharing this with her peers (many of whom are also second or third generation African immigrants) it became clear that this was a common theme and concern for them also. At university, Chioma had previously created one of Nigeria’s most popular news websites, which at one point ranked in the top 100 on Google Analytics so was familiar with the concept of distributing online content that would keep readers engaged and updated with trending news. It was a business model she could replicate on a larger scale. However, she wanted her platform to work across all mediums, from print and digital to social media and events.

Chioma Onwutalobi

Validating the Idea & Taking Steps to Make it a Reality:

In 2014, Chioma conducted the vital research required to get her business off the ground and create a lifestyle platform that would become Glam Africa. Luckily, she found herself in a favorable position with her media experience and legal career as, although the hours were long and she often worked into the early hours of the morning, the vast amount of corporate travel involved allowed her to keep on top of the key news stories in the various African countries. Over the next 12 months, she diligently mapped out her business structure, clearly outlining how she would finance the project, where and how she could distribute the product and which marketing channels would be most effective in Africa’s most vibrant communities. Unsurprisingly, however, she constantly ran into discouraging reactions when she shared her business plan with others in the publishing business. At that time in 2014, due to the increased use of online mediums for news, many publishers were shutting down and those that still remained were frantically restructuring their businesses in order to survive the changes. Unfazed by the noise, Chioma decided that she still wanted printed media to be a substantial element of the business, to complement the other online products and that she would figure out the best way to distribute the magazines in both Europe and Africa. Others whom she spoke with disapproved of the magazine’s name ‘Glam Africa’. Her critics commented that it was an unnatural juxtaposition, given that it was unusual to associate the two words with one another. However, Chioma knew exactly what she wanted her brand to convey and stayed true to the core message. The name stuck – something that would come to be a significant benefit later down the line.

Building Glam Africa as a business:

A year of planning later, Chioma was finally ready to launch her platform. She sought seed investment however, after some unsuccessful attempts, opted to take the riskier route and spent her savings on getting the business started. She had already researched the process of producing the magazine itself, however, two other variables required interest from external parties: getting her magazine stocked at retail stores and finding companies who would buy advertising space in the magazine. Chioma was fortunate with the timing of her venture, given that the perception and appreciation of African culture was on the rise, with persons of African origin around the world reconnecting with their roots through music, fashion, and art. Put simply, African culture was trending globally. International brands were, therefore, looking to gain exposure in the sub-Saharan region, and would only collaborate with professional and trustworthy media platforms. Moreover, African celebrities, business people and influencers were seeking fresh avenues to connect with their audiences. Brand and celebrities alike were intrigued by the company’s name and took interest in its ethos and mission. Glam Africa was perceived as a platform which had the pulling-power to attract their target customers effectively and many brands were keen to buy up marketing blocks. When approaching celebrities and influencers to feature in the magazine, Chioma always lead with her unique story and spoke with conviction and enthusiasm about what she was trying to create. Her brand identity was clear, bold and intriguing.  This approach drew the interest of celebrity clientele, who wouldn’t normally feature in a lesser-known publication such as Glam Africa at the time of its inception. Chioma admits that the “timing was key, had I done this 10 years ago it may have not been possible or would have required substantially more investment”.

Glam Africa Today:

Today, Glam Africa publishes magazines globally on a quarterly basis. International superstars, such as Davido, DJ Zinhle and actress Omotola Ekeinde have famously featured on the covers. The magazine is distributed through thousands of stores across Africa such as Shoprite, Checkers and is also stocked in major retailers such as WH Smith in the UK. The online magazine is performing well in the US and its social platforms are thriving with high customer engagement on both Instagram and YouTube.

More recently, Chioma launched the “Glam Africa Beauty Box” where beauty brands could include their products in beauty boxes that are sent for free to new magazine subscribers. Chioma has made her business a success with her own resources and she is proud of her achievements. Rightfully so.

Keeping The 5 Year Old Business Relevant:

She also hopes to have a positive impact on others through her platform. This desire was the motivation behind the “Beyond Beauty” campaign she ran last year, which featured inspirational women from all walks of life gracing the cover of the magazine, including a model with burns another with alopecia and vitiligo. She is continuing her mission with follow-up events such as the flagship “Diversity Forum Live” to be launched in London this June, in collaboration with the prestigious London College of Fashion, The Muslim News and support from Olympia Beauty.

Glam Africa is set to achieve big things and Chioma’s decision to switch up her career, take a risk with her savings, conduct in depth research before starting a business is one which she absolutely does not regret.

APC Settles For Gbajabiamila As Governors, Senators-Elect Meet Buhari – Politics

Read Time10 Minutes, 45 Seconds

To avoid a repeat of the 2015 mistakes when some All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers connived with their Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterparts to hijack the leadership of the 8th Assembly, the national leadership of the ruling party has stepped into the ongoing leadership race.

The APC National Working Committee (NWC) yesterday met with new and returning members of the House of Representatives to forge a common front on the emergence of the Green Chamber’s principal officers.

In the same manner, President Muhammadu Buhari also held a meeting with APC governors and senators-elect to ensure a strong bond between the Executive and Legislative arms of government in the next dispensation.

In the unfolding scenario, the APC leadership is favoulably disposed to the current House leader, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, as the Speaker of the Lower House, LEADERSHIP has learnt

Gbajabiamila was the preferred candidate of the APC for the office in 2015 before it was clinched by the incumbent Speaker, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, who rode on the support of PDP lawmakers to outwit Gbajiabiamila.

In the same way, Senator Ahmed Lawan was the anointed candidate of the APC for the Senate Presidency but he lost the office to Senator Bukola Saraki in the power game that produced the outgoing NASS leadership.

Dogara defeated Gbajabiamila with 182 votes to 174.

A competent source confirmed to LEADERSHIP that at a meeting which journalists were not allowed to cover, the party presented Gbajabiamila as its candidate for the speakership to the new lawmakers-elect.

It was learned that some members were not comfortable with the party’s choice of Gbajabiamila as they alleged that he may be difficult for them to work with.

The source, who craved anonymity, stated that the meeting wanted the matter properly handled so as not to disenfranchise other eminent and qualified persons who have indicated interest in the office.

Earlier, APC national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, who led the NWC members to meet the lawmakers yesterday, had declared that the party would not allow the mistakes of 2015 to recur when the new National Assembly is inaugurated in June.

Oshiomhole said that Nigerians had reposed confidence in the party by giving it an overwhelming majority in the House assuring that the party would use the numerical strength to its advantage.

He, therefore, sought the collaboration of the APC legislators to enable President Muhammadu Buhari to execute the party’s programmes during his second term.

Addressing the newly-elected members of the House of Representatives at the Shehu Yar’adua Centre in Abuja, Oshiomhole said that the APC was not prepared to share the principal offices of the House and headship of critical committees with the opposition PDP, except for positions reserved for minority members.

He said: “The first is the challenge of ensuring that this time around we will ensure that we have the leadership of the National Assembly that shares the vision of the executive. Although we speak of separation of powers, there is only one government and unless the various arms pursue the same agenda it is difficult for the executive to realise it purpose because legislative backing is often required for most executive actions.

“So I will expect that you bear in mind that we are one family joined together as shown in our broom, with a shared commitment to bail Nigeria out of the condition in which we found it in 2015.

“And that you have the numbers and we will use those numbers to ensure that we have a leadership that commands the trust and the respect of all the members of the House of Representatives. There will be contestation, that is why we are in a democracy but after the contestation and debate we have to agree, and once you have agreed you move forward.

“We have the numbers to produce the Speaker and we will produce the Speaker, who must be a member of the APC. We have the numbers to produce the Deputy Speaker and we will use the numbers to produce the occupant of the office, who must be a member of the APC. We have the number and we must use the numbers to elect the House Leader who must be a member of our party.

“We have the numbers and we will use the numbers to produce a Chief Whip and a Deputy Whip who must be members of the APC. I think the only position that we are not interested in is the Minority Leader. Let it remain minor in the hands of the minors in the opposition.

“We will not share power in the House of the Representatives and the leadership must ensure that critical committees that drive government are chaired by APC members. If the Nigerian people wanted them to be chairmen of the committees they would have voted for them.

“So all the chairmen of committees, except one that is statutorily reserved for the opposition, which is Public Accounts, they can have that. So, we would not do the kind of thing that happened the last time in which some APC members became distant spectators in the management of committees, when the PDP had the majority of the strategic committees in the House, that will not happen in the next Assembly,” he said.

While calling on the new federal lawmakers not to allow anybody to break their rank, Oshiomhole said that his leadership would carry out extensive consultations with President Buhari and all the leaders of the APC on the leadership matter.

“We will work out a sensible zoning formula that carries everybody along and gives people chances to demonstrate their capacities and capabilities.

He congratulated them for their success, adding that “we are proud that Nigerians in your various constituencies have reposed confidence in the APC. I was looking at the number this morning and I realised that at the level of the House of Representatives, Nigerians gave the APC a resounding vote of confidence.

Oshomhole said that before the election, the APC had 190 members, noting that Nigerians elected and re-elected 223 members of the House on the platform of the APC in the 2019 general elections.

To the new lawmakers, Oshiomhole said: “You have been elected at a very challenging time to provide legislative backing for APC agenda and manifesto. Our president who has been re-elected reminded us that the three critical issues on which we canvassed for votes in 2015 are still valid even now in 2019. The president is doing everything possible to turn the economy around and to ensure that we work and create job-led growth and not jobless growth where we celebrate abstract statistics that do not reflect the quality of life of the Nigerian people.”

At a dinner hosted by President Buhari at the Presidential Villa for APC governors, serving senators and senators-elect, Oshiomhole maintained that in the 9th Assembly, the APC is far ahead of the opposition in both parliaments.

He said that “we are far ahead of the main opposition in the parliament. With 223 of 360 lawmakers, we have all the numbers required to make all the laws in the National Assembly.

“The purpose of the dinner is to congratulate you and to provide a platform for the senators-elect to interact with you. We want to produce a leadership that is purely APC and the one that will cooperate with the executive.

The senator-elect on the platform of Young Progressives Party (YPP), Ifeanyi Uba, attended the meeting even though he has not officially defected to the ruling APC.

North Central Insists On Speakership

Meanwhile, the clamour for APC to zone the office of the Speaker of the Lower House to the North Central has gathered momentum.

The proponents based their demand on the fact that the North Central produced the third highest votes for the ruling APC in the February 23 presidential and National Assembly elections.

The Northeast, which produced the second highest votes for the APC after the Northwest, is being considered for the position of the Senate President.

In their defence of the zoning of speaker’s seat to the North Central, the agitators argued that both the Northwest and the Southwest have produced the president and the vice president-elect in the person of Buhari and Yemi Osinbajo.

Besides, they asserted that the North Central is the only zone that is yet to produce the speaker of the Green Chamber since the current democratic dispensation.

The chief campaigners under the aegis of the Coalition of North Central Groups said that for equity, justice and fairness to reign, the region should be considered for the Number Four seat in the country.

They said Section 14 (1c, 3 and 4) and Article 7 (i, ii and ix) of the APC Constitution should be the guiding principles of the party in zoning the speaker’s position.

The coalition further said that the APC has ranking and experienced returning lawmakers from the North Central to man the office and support the party in executing its programmes and policies, especially those that require legislative backing.

Also, some stakeholders noted that the North Central is best suited for the position of the speaker at this time.

Reps’ Spokesman Joins Speakership Race

Meanwhile, the incumbent chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas, has concluded plans to declare his intention to run for the office of the Speaker of the 9th House.

LEADERSHIP learned that the House spokesman would announce his ambition ahead of the APC s decision on the zoning of the principal offices of the incoming Assembly tomorrow.

Namdas, who is a returning member, represents Jada/Ganye/Mayo Belwa/Toungo federal constituency of Adamawa State.

Elected on the platform of the ruling APC in 2015, Namdas’ declaration will bring the number of top contenders for the post to six.

Other lawmakers who have indicated interest on the position are Gbajabiamila from Lagos, Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase (Plateau), Hon. Muhammad Umar Bago (Niger), Hon. Babangida Ibrahim (Katsina), and Hon. Aminu Sulaiman (Kano).

Imposition Of Candidates, Undemocratic – APC Lawmakers

As the race for the Speaker heats up, members of the House on APC platform have kicked against purported plans by the party leadership to impose some candidates, especially for the Speakership on them.

The members-elect who were at the meeting with Oshiomhole yesterday, condemned the plot, describing it as “meddlesome and undemocratic.”

The member-elect, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that while it was the party’s responsibility to zone NASS leadership positions to geopolitical zones it deems fit, it was unbecoming for it to insist on a particular candidate for the House.

He noted that in the event the party insists on the candidate, it would only show that it didn’t learn from the mistakes in 2015.

Another lawmaker, who has indicated interest in the race and pleads anonymity, asserted that the members would not support any candidate imposed on them by the party.

He said: “We won’t allow the party to dictate to us who will be our leader. We are an arm of government just as the executive is. If we allow this to happen, it means we are not independent.”

An aspiring speaker, however, noted that the party was yet to declare its stand and cautioned that members wait for the announcement of the zoning formula.

S’East APC Group Want Speaker Zoned To Region

Also yesterday, a group under the aegis of South East All Progressives Congress (APC) Youths Consultative Forum has called on the leadership of the party to zone the position of the speaker to the zone.

The national coordinator of the forum, Sir Romanus Oguleme, told journalists in Abuja that the zone has credible and ranking members in the National Assembly to head any of the two chambers.

Oguleme pleaded that the zone should not be schemed out of the National Assembly leadership like in 2015, adding that zoning the speakership to South East was in line with President Buhari’s promise of an inclusive government.

Ndume Declares For Senate Presidency

Relatedly, former Senate Leader, Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, has asked the APC to allow him to become the Senate President because he is the most suitable for the office.

Ndume said that he had decided to step forward with the hoping that the Senate president’s position would be zoned to the Northeast zone where he hails from.

In a letter of intent dated March 25, 2019, and addressed to Oshiomhole, he said that his decision to seek for office was borne out of his desire to help accelerate the socioeconomic development of the country.

He said: “Following the successful conduct of the 2019 general elections and the overwhelming victory of our great party, the APC at all levels, I hereby forward my letter of intent to contest for the office of the president of the Senate in the 9th National Assembly.

“I wish to emphasise that my decision to contest for the Senate presidency is informed by my conviction to contribute my quota to nation building,” he stated.

Zac Posen shares never-before-seen photo of Princess Eugenie’s wedding dress

Princess Eugenie marries Jack Brooksbank at Windsor Castle

Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank at Windsor Castle for the second Royal Wedding in 2018. The Royal family and celebrities gathered for the occasion.

A never-before-seen photo of Princess Eugenie’s second wedding dress has hit Instagram, thanks to a candid post from her designer pal Zac Posen in honor of the royal’s 29th birthday.

“Every now and then you meet somebody who just knocks your socks off. This last year I got to know a young lady who possessed natural elegance, a heart of gold and sophisticated humor,” Posen captioned a photo of him and the royal, sporting the famed frock. “My studio and I had the honor (and the best time) collaborating with her on her special gown.”

“Best of all she is dedicated to using her privilege to help our world and its people with her project @the_anti_slavery_collective,” the style star concluded, wishing the newlywed princess a “happy birthday.”

Princess Eugenie and her longtime beau Jack Brooksbank tied the knot at St. George’s Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle in October 2018. The ninth-in-line to the British throne won praise for highlighting her spinal scar from a childhood scoliosis surgery on her wedding day, sporting two low-backed dresses with long sleeves, fitted bodices and flowing skirts — a white Peter Pilotto creation for the church ceremony, and the blush-colored gown by Posen for the reception.

Eugenie’s father, Prince Andrew, divulged that Posen was inspired in part by “the beauty of Windsor and the surrounding countryside” in envisioning the princess’ wedding day look.

“The White Rose of York is subtly embroidered on both the shoulder and back which hold together the cape,” the father of the bride wrote on Instagram at the time.

Eugenie, too, revealed that Posen’s rosey creation paid homage in part to another iconic royal.

“I wanted something reminiscent of Grace Kelly in ‘To Catch a Thief,’ so I showed that for reference and Zac came up with this silk that he had found from Manchester, every single draping effect, every single detail, every button is all painstakingly done by him and his team,” Princess Eugenie said of the look, People reports.

“I’ve had a lifelong admiration for him as a designer — and because Zac is based in New York and I lived there for some time when I was younger, and for me it was an easy decision to make and Zac is such a cool, fun, brilliant designer and friend,” she gushed.

Breast ironing awareness ‘needed in school’

Read Time4 Minutes, 27 Seconds

Breast ironing awareness should be made part of the mandatory school curriculum to protect young girls from abuse, the National Education Union has said.

The practice involves ironing a girl’s chest with hot objects to delay breasts from growing, so she does not attract male attention.

Conservative MP Nicky Morgan said teachers must also be educated, as they have a “very important role to play”.

The Home Office said teachers have a duty to report concerns.

‘Not allowed to cry’

“Kinaya” – whose name we have changed – lives in the UK.

Her family descends from west Africa – where breast ironing originates – and she was subjected to it aged 10.

She said her mother told her that “if I don’t iron them, men will start coming to you, to have sex with you”.

It is often the child’s mother who will undertake the breast ironing, which usually involves heating a stone or spoon on a flame then pressing, massaging or flattening the breast.

This can go on for months.

“Time does not erase that kind of pain,” Kinaya explained.

“You’re not even allowed to cry out. If you do, you [are said to] have brought shame to your family, you are not a ‘strong girl’.”

Kinaya and her daughter
Image caption“Kinaya” and her daughter

Kinaya is now an adult with daughters of her own.

When her eldest turned 10, her mother proposed that she be breast ironed.

“I said, ‘No, no, no, none of my children are going to go through what I went through, as I still live with the trauma.”

She has since moved away from her family, believing there was a real risk they would have performed breast ironing on her daughters without her consent.

It is thought that around 1,000 girls in the UK have been affected by breast ironing.

But while awareness is growing around female genital mutilation (FGM), there are fears that few people know about breast ironing.

One woman told the Victoria Derbyshire programme she only realised breast ironing was not normal when she discovered her body looked different to her classmates during a PE class at her UK school, which led her to become distressed.

Her sister had breast ironed her from age eight, but her teachers failed to notice when she became withdrawn and stopped wanting to take part in PE lessons.

“If my PE teacher had known, if they were trained, I could have had the help I needed growing up,” she said.

Kiri Tunks, joint president of the National Education Union, is now calling for school staff – and in particular PE teachers – to be taught how to notice the signs.

She also wants it to be covered in schools in the same way as FGM will be from 2020, as part of compulsory relationships and sex education classes in secondary schools.

Ms Morgan said issues such as breast ironing should be “tackled, addressed, talked about and stopped”.

She added that the curriculum should be kept “under review as different areas of practice, custom or abuse come to light”.

Those working with girls and young women should also be taught to recognise that breast ironing is taking place in the UK, she continued, and to be able to “advise the young person on what action they need to take”.

Image captionA heated stone is often used in breast ironing

One woman, “Simone”, told the Victoria Derbyshire programme she was breast ironed aged 13 when her mum found out that she was gay.

“According to her, maybe I was attractive because of my breasts, so if she can iron them and I’m flat, then maybe I’ll be ugly and no-one will admire me.”

In her case, the breast ironing went on for months.

Like many young girls, she was also made to wear an extremely tight strap around her chest to suppress them even more – which caused her difficulty breathing.

A few years later, when she had a baby to the man she was forced to marry, the long-term damage became apparent.

“When it comes to breast feeding, it’s so strenuous, like there’s a knot inside,” she explained.

“It seemed like maybe some of the nerves were destroyed.”

‘Hidden crime’

There is no specific offence for breast ironing, but the Home Office described it as a form of child abuse and said it should be prosecuted under general assault laws.

Angie Marriott, a former gynaecological nurse who now works as a safeguarding lecturer for Cheshire Police, said that the true scale of breast ironing in the UK was being obscured because of under-reporting.

She described it as a “sensitive, hidden crime”, with women afraid to speak out for fear of being “ousted from their communities”.

“I know this is happening because people have divulged it to me,” she said.

“And they’ve said it’s the first time openly that they’ve ever spoken about what’s happened to them, and they felt ashamed.”

Angie Marriott
Image captionAngie Marriott says many women are too scared to report they have had their breasts ironed

Simone still bears the scars from the abuse she endured, and wants to raise awareness of the crime.

“To say the least, it’s an abuse. It hurts, it dehumanises you,” she said.

“You are not a human being.”

The nurses are supporting each other during their pregnancies. WMTW-TV reports they plan to be there for each other’s deliveries.

Nurse Erin Grenier said:

After each one of us started to say, ‘We’re pregnant,’ I think it was a happier announcement each time, and we’re all there for each other.

There’s been times where we’ve been the patient. So it’s been great to have each other either being our nurse or just being there for us, sending us a message, checking in on us making sure everything is okay.

The soon-to-be moms said it has been great to have so much support at work.

“It’s really nice coming to work and seeing other people who are just as pregnant and watching their bellies pop and just talking about these experiences that we are going through together,” nurse Amanda Spear said.

“I think that they tend to feel comforted and they also tend to find that it’s a common ground between us,” Registered Nurse Nicole Goldberg said to WGME.

“I don’t think it hit home until we took a picture and it was on social media and we were getting all this attention,” Registered Nurse Lonnie Soucie said. “And then it was like, ‘Whoa, you weren’t kidding!'”

The hospital says all nine of the women are registered nurses and say they are fully prepared to cover the shifts when all nine nurses are off on their maternity leave.

Singer; Korede Bello, has advised people to stop asking God for money because he is not central bank.

He said instead of asking God for money, people should maximise the talent, skill or gift that he’s given them and try to make money from it. He also said that people should stop asking others for money but instead ask them what can be done for them in exchange for money.

In his words, “Maybe we should stop asking God for money. God doesn’t give money, God gives you abilities, he gives you talents, he gives you values that you can exchange for money.”

It is unconstitutional to allocate oil blocks to individuals, Falana writes President Buhari

Read Time2 Minutes, 23 Seconds

Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, has written a letter to President Buhari, asking that oil blocks should henceforth not be allocated to “a select group of private individuals and foreigners”.

In a letter dated March 20 and addressed to Buhari, Falana said his request was based on an alleged decision by the federal government to revoke some oil blocks and marginal fields allocated to some individuals and companies during past administrations.

While commending President Buhari for the decision if true, the humanrights lawyer pointed it is “unconstitutional” to allocate the nation’s oil blocks in such a way that only few would have an unfair advantage.

“Our attention has been drawn to the decision of the Federal Government to revoke a number of oil blocks and marginal fields hitherto allocated to a few individuals as well as local and foreign corporate bodies by former military and civilian regimes in Nigeria,” the letter read.

“While commending Your Excellency for the courageous decision we urge the Federal government to desist from renewing the remaining licences of other oil block owners in the country.

“Having acquired the ‘entire property in and control or all minerals, mineral oils and natural gas in, under or upon any land in Nigeria or in, under or upon the territorial waters’ and vested same in the Federal Government on behalf of the people of Nigeria pursuant to section 44(3) of the Constitution it is inequitable, illegal and unconstitutional to allocate the nation’s oil blocks to a few individuals and corporate bodies including multinational corporations.

“Your Excellency may no doubt be aware that majority of the owners of the oil blocks belonging to the Nigerian people usually sub-lease them to offshore companies as they lack the fund and the technical expertise to develop the oil and gas industry.

“By merely collecting huge rents the oil block owners become stupendously rich while the federal, state and local governments depend on loans and bailout to pay salaries and carry out basic infrastructural development of the country.

“Thus, by allocating oil blocks to a few individuals and corporate bodies the Federal Government has violated Section 16(2)(c) of the Constitution which provides that ‘the economic system is not operated in such a manner as to permit the concentration of wealth or the means of production and exchange in the hands of few individuals or of a group’.

“In view of the foregoing, we urge Your Excellency to restrict the allocation of oil blocks including marginal fields to the Federal Government and the governments of the 36 states of the Federation.

“This request is in line with Section 16 (1) (b) of the Constitution which  has mandated the Nigerian State to ‘control the national economy in such manner as to secure the maximum welfare, freedom and happiness of every citizen on the basis of social justice and equality of status and opportunity” he said

‘INEC Has No Justification For Withholding My Certificate Of Return’ – Okorocha

Read Time1 Minute, 24 Seconds

The Imo state Governor Rochas Okorocha has asked the Independent National electoral commission (INEC) to urgently present him his certificate of return as the Senator-Elect for the Imo West Senatorial district election.

Addressing newsmen at the government house in Owerri the Imo state capital, The Governor says INEC does not have any moral or constitutional justification for withholding his certificate of return by acting on a mere allegation by the returning officer Professor Innocent Ibeabuchi who might be playing a script by his political enemies.

“I cannot understand how a mere allegation of somebody, an individual, talking about duress, which has not been proven by anybody, will stop INEC from giving me my certificate of return for an election that I won properly.

“I cannot understand why an individual’s report of a professor who lied, will now be taken more than the report by the Nigeria Police, State Security Service, that said there was no crisis, everything was peaceful. The returning officer should be called to order.”

He urged INEC to release his Certificate of return so the issue will not cause any constitutional and political problem for the country in future.

“INEC has no moral justification to release certificate of return to someone who, knowingly, flouted the Nigerian constitution and refusing to give someone his certificate, who won duly.”

The electoral body had insisted that it will not issue a certificate of return to Okorocha, who was declared the winner of the election by the returning officer Professor Innocent Ibeabuchi, after alleging that he announced the result out of duress.

Okorocha has, however, taken the matter to court.

Dogara Congratulates Bala Mohammed, Says It’s Time To Rebuild Bauchi

Read Time2 Minutes, 10 Seconds

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has reacted to the victory of Senator Bala Mohammed in the Bauchi State governorship election.

In a statement personally signed by him, the lawmaker said the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state is the crowning of the struggle for the emancipation and liberation of our people.”

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday declared Senator Mohammed as the winner of the keenly contested election, more than two weeks after the poll held.

Following the victory of the PDP, Dogara said the people of the state have demonstrated to the world that no man-made chains can bind them to “servitude”.

According to him, the results of the election have sent a clear message that Bauchi will never “bend its back again for an oppressor to ride”.

“Today’s victory is ours. Today’s victory speaks to a better and brighter future for ourselves, our children and generations yet unborn,” the Speaker said.

He added, “We have proven that working together, there is no challenge that we cannot overcome as a people. I understand as we all celebrate this victory because it came at a coast so many of us were willing to pay in order to salvage our state from the precipice.

“But we cannot tarry long on this mountain of celebrations as what today’s victory demands of us is to go to work immediately.”

The lawmaker decried that over 1.3 million children in Bauchi were roaming the streets without access to education while the hospitals do not qualify as consulting clinics.

He also said thousands of youths in the state have no jobs and retirees have no pensions and gratuities, adding that the local government system in the state has collapsed.

Dogara, however, noted that it was time to rebuild Bauchi and urged the people never to allow the state to fall into the hands of those he described as greedy people.

He said, “Bauchi people have decided that Senator Bala Mohammed and Senator Baba Tela will lead us to recovery and progress in the next four years.

“I am happy of the rich pedigree they bring to the table. We will support you with all we can as we look forward to an immediate positive impact in your first 100 days in office.”

The lawmaker congratulated the Governor-elect and the Deputy Governor-elect, as well as the people of Bauchi and their leaders who he said sacrificed so much to make the victory possible.
